Production

How hard the plants run.

Export pace compared with each terminal's nameplate capacity, how fast each one ramped up, and whether hot weather lowers output.

Exports are used as a stand-in for production: LNG is shipped within days of being made, so monthly exports track output closely. Capacity figures come from Venture Global's 2025 10-K; 1 MTPA ≈ 48 Bcf a year.

How close does each terminal run to nameplate capacity?

Limits. Nameplate is the vendor-guaranteed minimum; Venture Global states its plants can produce more under good conditions, and sells that excess separately. Above 100% is therefore expected, not an error. The dashed lines show the FERC/DOE authorized capacity.

How fast did each terminal ramp up?

Limits. Three-month rolling average. Commissioning cargoes are included because they are real output; commercial operation (COD) is a contractual milestone, not the start of production.

Does hot weather reduce output at Calcasieu Pass?

Method. Monthly export pace (Bcf/d) regressed on mean air temperature at the site, with a linear trend and a shift after commercial operation, from October 2022 (ramp-up complete). Standard errors allow for autocorrelation (Newey–West, 3 lags). Limits. Planned maintenance is often scheduled in mild seasons and hurricanes arrive in summer, so the estimate can absorb other seasonal effects; the second row drops months with detected low-output windows to check this. Plaquemines is still ramping up, which would swamp any weather signal, so it is not estimated.
